Document, verify, and preserve accurate accounts of killings, enforced disappearances, torture, arbitrary arrests, and other human rights violations.
Provide safe, dignified, and trauma-informed opportunities for victims, survivors, families, and witnesses to share their experiences and have their voices heard.
Support national and international accountability efforts by preserving evidence, identifying patterns of abuse, and producing credible findings and recommendations.
Facilitate truth telling, memorialization, psychosocial support, and community dialogue that acknowledge suffering, restore dignity, and promote healing.
Develop evidence-based recommendations to strengthen policing, justice institutions, governance, and human rights protections to prevent future abuses.
Establish archives, memorials, documentaries, educational materials, and public records so the experiences of victims are remembered and future generations learn from the past.
Increase public understanding of human rights, the rule of law, restorative justice, and democratic accountability through education and public engagement.
